Matthew began preaching at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio at 18 years of age. Since finishing his education, he serves as the associate pastor of the 18,000-member congregation in San Antonio, where he helps his father minister to the church body as well as a television audience that spans the globe.
In October 2003, Matthew married Kendal Young, who gave birth to their first child, Hannah Rose, in April 2005. Matthew and Kendal minister together in the Joshua Generation outreach at Cornerstone Church.
