She and her husband, Reverend Fred Doughty, have been in full-time ministry for thirty years, serving as Christian school administrators, program directors for Teen Challenge, and church pastors. They presently pastor Glad Tidings Assembly of God in East Peoria, Illinois. A retired nurse who has enjoyed writing poetry and short compositions since the age of eight, Karens passion and zeal to serve God by loving and serving His children is the wind beneath her wings. Karen gives all the glory to God for allowing her the privilege of writing for Him.
